HAND BUILDING WORKSHOP
Two dates available:
Sunday 13th January 2019 & Sunday 3rd February 2019
This is a special one-day workshop on hand building with porcelain and stoneware clay.
Over a relaxed afternoon, participants will be introduced to a range of fun and simple hand-building techniques to make their very own set of wares, and will be able to experiment with two types of clay - a buttery, white porcelain and an earthy stoneware. You will learn to make a range of forms, including: a cup, bowl, spoon, plate and planter pot. Once formed, you will decorate your pieces using coloured paints in a fun design (there will be plenty of examples for inspiration).
Workshop includes: all materials, aprons, firing, glazing, as well as delicious afternoon tea and refreshments.
A NIGHT IN THE STUDIO
Gather a group of your favourites & join Christy, for an evening of making in her St Peters pottery studio. Learn fun & simple techniques in this hands-on workshop. You will make a selection of different forms that may include cups, plates, planters, bowls & spoons. Includes all materials, tools, glazing & firing + refreshments & a delicious grazing platter to share.
A Night In The Studio workshops available:
Friday & Saturday evenings - 6:30-9:30pm (or at other times on request)
For self-formed groups of 5-12 guests.
Great for special occasions such as birthdays, or hens show's with a difference!

WHEEL THROWING FOR BEGINNERS
Create your own beautiful ceramic wares in this introduction to throwing on the pottery wheel. Learn basic skills including centring, trimming, adding handles, decorating & glazing, in small, fun & personalised classes of 4-5 people, set in Christy's pottery studio in St Peter's.
